Thames Region J16 Training Weekend

The 2005 J16 training weekend was held on the weekend of 22nd/23rd October, at Dorney Lake. 

The weekend included testing for selection to the national J16 camp, crew sculling opportunities and a visit from members of the Great Britain rowing team.  The weekend was very successful and we are expecting the 2006 weekend to be just as popular.

Athletes eligible for the 2006 training camp will have been born between 01/09/90 and 31/08/92 and should be ARA members.  Cost for the weekend will be announced later in the year but are likely to be in the region of £6-£12.

To aid compatibility over the weekend we have set a standard for athletes who wish to attend but athletes need only meet the criteria in one area from a selection of sculling skills, ergo power or personal height measurements.   

We would also like as many coaches of juniors as possible to come along. The weekend should be a great opportunity to meet and learn from other coaches in the region.
