SportscoachUK Workshops
SportscoachUK workshops are divided into two series: Coaching Essentials and Develop your Coaching.
Coaching Essentials is a series of five workshops designed for people who have an interest in, or have limited experience of coaching and want to know more about what good, safe and effective coaching is. Develop your Coaching is a series of twenty workshops that cover a wide spectrum of topics, from Equity in your Training through to Injury Prevention and Management. These workshops are for coaches who want to further develop their coaching skills and knowledge to provide high quality coaching sessions.
Good Practice and Child Protection and Equity In Your Coaching are pre-requisite courses for candidates wishing to take the Level 3 Coaching Certificate.
Courses are organised across the Region by local authorities and County Sports Partnerships. Details of forthcoming courses are available on the sportscoachUK website. Occasionally the TRRC organises Develop Your Coaching courses and when these are available details will be posted on this website.
Running Sport
Running Sport is Sport England's education & training programme for volunteers
Their aim: To help sports volunteers develop and run their clubs and organisations as effectively as possible. The information & learning resources are designed to help sports clubs and sports volunteers run their clubs as effectively as possible by addressing key issues such as volunteer management & recognition, club finances and development planning.
There are six workshops in the Running Sport series. Attendance on the Club for All course is a pre-requisite for Clubmark accreditation.
